On April 6, 2013, I suddenly and unexpectedly lost my dear friend and partner in life Stevie Soliah to a massive stroke. An incredibly talented, funny, adorable man, who grew up in the Antelope Valley, he loved driving endlessly around California and nearby states, fishing, hiking, cooking over open fires, drinking white wine chilled with ice cubes, sleeping under the stars, and reading the newspaper.
We spent much of our 23 years together camping, and I collected masses of photographs and journal entries on our trips together. Here they are. I dedicate this blog to his memory.

Thanks for this. I still think of Steve. He was a fun person to be around.
Cheers,
Mike
Thanks Mike. I think of him all the time. Just posted our trip to the family cemetery circa 1992.
Thanks Mike. Truly
